Why I wrote this book
I never wanted to write a book and always said so to anyone who asked. Then, one morning at 5 a.m., I woke up from a deep sleep with a crystal-clear thought, or rather a command, telling me, ‘You are going to write a book.’ I sat up, jumped out of bed, went straight to my desk, and began to write. The moment I sat down, I knew exactly what I was to write, and so it began.
Two and a half years later, I sent it to my editor with the comment, ‘God made me do it.’ I felt inspired throughout the whole process and only hoped I had done a good job. When she sent it back with a few changes, she said it was the best she had read in a very long time. I was both shocked and pleasantly surprised.
Throughout the writing process, I kept thinking that if the book helped even just one person discover the meaning of life, the point of it all, then all the effort would be worthwhile. In turn, writing the book has become a vital part of my own journey, and it was worth everything to me.
